Read all the reviews on other types of knife guards.Seems that most were written by those who like to store their knives in a drawer.My teacher, a professional chef, recommended these as a useful, safe and inexpensive alternative. These are not only flexible, but they can be cut to size.Great price.They work great and fit the type of knife style I needed (8" Wusthof Chef's Knife).Makes the knife safe to transport.Would work fine in a drawer, but I find it hard to imagine putting my good knives in a drawer- protected or not.Ease of use for me is a wood knife block I mounted on the wall in a safe location.For school and transport to and from class this is great.Stick it in an inexpensive Craftsman plastic truck tool box (4"X16") and I am off to cook.No worry about it fitting, slipping out or buying a knife roll when I only need a few knives protected.Can't beat the price for safety.I am sure they will wear out (seam tape) after a while, but seems easy to fix and remedy.I am going to buy more for back-up.

(More customer reviews)I owe the Kuhn Epicurean all-stainless garlic press and love it.My mother was visiting recently and was impressed with it, but found it a bit hard to squeeze and thought it was better suited to a larger hand.My 12-year old daughter, who likes to cook, made the same remark.

I wanted to give my mother a garlic press, and thus, this "Easy-Squeeze" unit seemed ideal.However, we found it no easier to squeeze than the Epicurean.Furthermore, the red handles are plastic and not as brightly colored or shiny as the online image suggests.The press has a flimsy or squishly feeling relative to the Epicurean.As we're squeezing, you can feel the handles bend, as well as wobble slightly side-to-side.

It still presses garlic beautifully.The actual pressing mechanism and screen are made of the same high-quality stainless steel as in the Epicurean.It is just as easy to clean.

For the price ($19.95 vs. $39.95), this easy-squeeze unit may be a good deal, but we much prefer the heft and solid feeling of the Epicurean.We feel like the Epicurean will last a lifetime and don't mind spending the extra money.However, with the easy-squeeze, the question for me is not IF it will fail, but WHEN?

We've only used it one day, so maybe I'm worrying about something that will never happen.However, I intend to return this press and give my mother the Epicurean instead.

LamsonSharp 6" Jumbo Cookie/Pancake/Hamburger Turner Review

(More customer reviews)When I was browsing kitchen utensils and came across this specialty pancake turner I was immediately taken aback by the price. Still, I wanted a pancake turner, burger turner, grilled cheese sandwich turner, etc. and this utensil looked like it would fit the bill. Upon arrival, I immediately washed it in the dishwasher and I was pleased that all of the steel in it was indeed, stainless. Several uses since that time has yielded zero rust spots. The handle is of a quality wood and copper rivet construction(or copper-colored stainless rivets). My fiancee enjoys using this utensil to assist her when she stir fries vegetables. Although this utensil is a bit pricey, considering the amount of stainless steel that is in it, I will buy another one in 5-10 years when this one breaks. There are certainly utensils which are a much worse value than this one.

Kind of awkward to hold a piece of meat with the same kind of leverage, maybe its just me, plus its "elegant" look makes it a dainty tool, and doesn't feel sturdy.If you want a BBQ/utility fork, this is NOT the one.This is a turkey carving fork.
